Hello friends. I always said I would never blog, but I want you all to be able to stay up to date with my life in Atlanta, and ESPECIALLY my new puppy! Annie Mae Vicki Denise Mann, aka "Mae", was born on May 7, 2007. No, she wasn't named for the month of her birth, but instead for Annie Mae, my babysitter growing up! (Vicki Denise is for my jealous but also deserving mother=)).
Michael picked out Mae in Carrollton, Georgia and got her while I was in New Orleans for a family reunion. She was the calmest of the litter and stayed right underneath Michael's feet for the first 2 days. When I got to Columbus on Sunday night, she was staring at me with pretty green eyes and a way-too-big neon orange collar!
First things first, I went to PetsMart and bought her a better fitting PINK collar! When she gets bigger, though, her daddy is going to get her a UGA red and black one. Mae had a busy first week. We left for Daytona Beach on Tuesday, and she was actually good for the 6 hour car ride! The car seems to be the one place she will sleep! It has taken some adjustment for her to spend time in her crate, but my fingers are crossed that she will come to love it!

So now we are finally at our house in Atlanta. Mae likes it becuase she has a backyard to get into trouble in and a nice old linoleum brick kitchen floor to mess up! She is baby-gated in most of the time and not too happy about that, but that is the life of a puppy! She plays hard and sleeps hard. Sometimes I long for those first days of her staying under my feet, but they are LONG gone-she is crazy! I love her though. Here are a few more pictures, and I will update again soon, maybe include some pictures of my new house.
I start work at Northside Hospital on August 6. I'm enjoying my last days of freedom while I can!
